Specializes in Project Management delivery and PM Methodology, Process, PMOs, Projects Audits, Project Recovery, skills development and training. He has over twenty-five years of experience in consulting and the delivery of complex Projects and Programs. Worked for major organizations including Hewlett-Packard, Digital Equipment, Honeywell, Nortel Networks, Scotia Bank, to name a few. Dhanu specializes in innovative approaches to Project Management and the application of quality principles to manage projects successfully. His effective communications, team approach, and business-oriented style provide the foundation to manage projects for a successful outcome. He is able to consistently provide clients with professional expertise in planning and managing change while ensuring the successful completion of business goals and objectives. He has successfully applied the principles of Project Management to complex IT and non-IT projects.
Dhanu has presented and published several papers on Project Management. He is a past President of PMI Southern Ontario Chapter. Dhanu has authored two books on Project Management titled: “Rainbows & Ratholes: Best Practices for Managing Successful Projects” and “Managing Project Recovery”. He continues to present at national and internal seminars and symposiums, and most recently NASA 2009 and 2010 PM Challenge.
Dhanu holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering and a Post-Graduate Diploma in Production Engineering, University of Strathclyde, Glasgow. Dhanu obtained his Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from the Project Management Institute (PMI) in 1992.
