Matt is a highly experienced Industrial Engineer, with superior expertise in all aspects of manufacturing. He has 30 plus years serving Automotive, Transportation, Mining and Manufacturing industry sectors. Some excellent companies worked for include Xerox, CP Rail and Iron Ore Company of Canada.
Over the years Matt has demonstrated a passion for process improvement using Lean Manufacturing, Total Quality Management, and Organizational Design/Development methodologies. For financial control of the business, he focuses on revenue/cost budgeting, cash flow management, capital cost justification, and product pricing. On the people side he focuses on organizational design, position descriptions, performance evaluation, incentive plans, and team building. Production process improvements come in areas of safety, quality, efficiency, utilization and availability. His innovative approaches have produced real positive and measurable impacts to the bottom line of many companies. His participative and collaborative style promotes full engagement for effective skills transfer.
Matt has a Master of Business Administration from the University Of Toronto / Rotman School of Business, and a Bachelor of Applied Science from the University of Toronto. In addition to his university degrees, Matt has a certificate in Team Facilitation from National Training Labs in the US, and an honours post-graduate certificate in Project Management from Humber College. Matt has been a licensed Professional Engineer (PEng), with the Professional Engineers of Ontario since 1973.
When Matt is not delivering training or consulting services, he might be found boating somewhere on Georgian Bay, in all kinds of weather.
